Hand & Upper Extremity
Dr. Best joined the North LA Ortho team of experts in 2021. He completed his undergraduate studies locally at Louisiana Tech University, earning his bachelor’s degree. Dr. Best then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Services in Little Rock, AR. After finishing medical school, he completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Colorado and finished his orthopaedic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Best then had the opportunity to train in Nice, France where he completed a shoulder fellowship, and then returned domestically to Wisconsin and finished a fellowship in hand & upper extremity. He specializes in shoulder, elbow, and hand; rotator cuff injuries, shoulder joint replacement and revisions; carpal tunnel syndrome; orthopaedic trauma; sports-related injuries of the upper extremity; and work-related injuries of the entire upper extremity.
Dr. Best has also been featured in multiple research presentations, publications, and papers, the most recent being in 2020 at the American Society of Surgery of the Hand Annual Meeting. He currently serves as one of our team doctors for Louisiana Tech University.
